Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) was established in 1987 by the University Graduates’ Union (UGU), it is affiliated to the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Social Affairs. PPU provides unique and labor market-demanded programs in technical, engineering, scientific and administrative fields. 
PPU provides higher education services to 6000 students in more than 40 specialties. With 450 qualified and specialized staff members distributed in four main colleges, PPU graduated more than 1300 students of all fields of study in the academic year of 2011/2012. In addition, PPU has three master’s programs in the Applied Mathematics, Biotechnology “in partnership with Bethlehem University” and Informatics.
PPU has four electrical engineering programs that have proven their quality and excellence in the labor market where PPU graduates have higher technical and practical skills amongst their peers. 
 

Partner role in the project

Providing information and involving National stakeholders for the needs analysis (WP1); 

Attending the Bologna Process meeting in EU and organizing a seminar in PPU, elaborating the MSc didactic plan and following the accreditation steps (WP2);
Cooperating in elaborating the MSc syllabus and didactic materials, carrying out tenders for distance learning tools and didactic laboratories (WP3);
Coordinating Master courses delivery in beneficiary Countries, organizing 3 semesters, managing students mobility and training in PPU (WP4);
Cooperating in dissemination activities, organizing in PPU “Green Energy” days and “University meets the market days”, cooperating in the organization of the final conference in ASU (WP5);
Cooperating in elaborating MSc Sustainability plan and the final report, providing data on internal regulation (WP6);
Providing information for quality criteria and monitoring activities (WP7);
Collaborating in the project management (WP8).
